ID replacement has become a primary factor that impacts the well-being of homeless people. Without identification people cannot access basic services including health care, welfare, shelters and food banks, nor can they apply for jobs, secure housing, open a bank account or apply for any other identification. Street Health’s ID Safe program offers people a safe and secure place to store their identification and related documents to ensure people have continued access to needed services.
We are located at Street Health (338 Dundas Street East). We are open Monday-Friday 9:00-4:30 (closed for lunch from 12:00-1:00). If you have any questions, comments or ideas please contact us at ID Safe. Phone: (416)925-0043. We are grateful for funding from the Federal Supporting Communities Partnership Initiative for making this long-awaited project a reality. Click here to return to the Programs page.
