I am delighted Street Heath is continuing their commitment to improve the health and well-being of residents of Toronto Centre with the opening of the newly accessible Coach House. Through their many programs, Street Health has assisted countless numbers of homeless and under-housed residents of downtown Toronto. I am truly pleased to see the Ontario Trillium Foundation contribute to the legacy of Street Health and their excellent work of improving the lives of the most vulnerable in our community.

- Glenn Murray, MPP for Toronto Centre

It is my pleasure to extend greetings and congratulations to Street Health on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. I am also pleased to welcome everyone to the official opening of an accessible Coach House, the city of Toronto’s newest facility that provides physical and mental health support to individuals who are homeless or in need of housing facilities.

This milestone anniversary is a cause for celebration, a time to reflect on Street Health’s many accomplishments and an opportunity to look with hope to a future of new possibilities.

Street Health receives some government financial support, but this does never covered all of the services offered. A source of much needed support is private donors, individuals like you and me, who understand that healthcare helps individuals in their current situation, and can also create opportunity. My first and continuing impressions of Street Health make me proud to have been a donor for over eight years. I know it is an organization that helps those members of society who need help the most.

Street Health’s work now spans 30 years, so there are also new generations of supporters beginning. My daughter has been a monthly donor to Street Health for a few years. Our family is pleased to look for opportunities to broaden support for this work in the hope that one day it will no longer be needed.

- Lynne M., Street Health Donor

Anyone can be one illness or life catastrophe away from becoming homeless. I support Street Health because they offer services that are - nonjudgmental, caring, friendly, approachable and respectful – these are the qualities and vision that I live by and want to support.

- Cathy G., Street Health Donor

Being able to access healthcare is a basic human need that most of us take for granted. In my work I unfortunately see many people who, due to their personal life story, have been left without any positive choices. They have reached a point where they need to find a bridge to help them rise above their immediate situation. Helping to fill this gap is what I see Street Health doing and why I’m a long-time contributor.
