Acupuncture Detox

NADA Ear by Patty

Acupuncture is the world’s oldest medical science. It has been around for over 3,000 years.

Medical science holds that there is an extensive & complex energy system that flows throughout the human body. When this stream flows freely, the body is in balance & healthy. Interruptions and blockages in this normally free-flowing energy stream causes stagnation, illness, disease and discomfort. Simply stated, acupuncture is a technique that helps get the energy flowing freely and restore balance to the body. In terms of modern medicine, acupuncture creates healing changes in the various functional systems of the body.

The NADA 5 Point Ear Acupuncture Protocol is used to decrease withdrawal symptoms, shorten the length of the withdrawal process, and prevent anxiety which may lead to potential relapse. In addition, acupuncture improves the quality of sleep, stabilizes emotions, and helps to establish internal balance.

NADA treatment programs, in their traditions & spirit, are safe, accessible, welcoming, barrier-free, “user friendly” & client centred.

AcuDetox auricular (ear) acupuncture is based on the fact there are points for the entire body mapped out on the ear’s surface.

AcuDetox involves the gentle placement of five small, sterilized, disposable stainless steel needles in specific sites on each ear of a client. The recipients sit quietly for 30-40 minutes.

Magnetic Ear Beads …. Are non-invasive & have a milder effect than needles. Beads are used when a client is unwilling or unable to receive acudetox and as a support to client’s between needling sessions. They stimulate the points & provide a tool that the client may use by gently pressing on the beads.
