Bank Account Clinic

September 28, 2015

Realizing that many clients & people in the community do not have bank accounts set up for this, Street Health built a relationship with a nearby TD Bank branch to be able to help. Some older people may not even know about this; some clients may be relying on cheque-cashing facilities because they have no bank account; some may not have sufficient identification in order to proceed.

Now, once a month, a representative from the TD Bank (at Queen & Parliament) visits Street Health for our Bank Account Clinic. Clients need only bring at least one valid piece of ID: birth certificate; citizenship card; permanent resident card or record of landing…and TD Bank will take it from there!

Coming to our clinic means that the process will be less complicated, faster and easier to complete. The TD Bank rep will also fill in the necessary form to set up direct deposit with the CRA.

October’s clinic will take place on Friday, October 16 from 11 am to 12:30 pm.
